As a member of Rice's Information Technology team, the systems administrator will be responsible for the administration of endpoint devices and systems (laptops, desktops, etc) using multiple endpoint and device management tools. S/he will deploy and manage standardized configurations and policies, apply patches and upgrade applications, as well as provide level three support. The systems administrator will work with other staff to integrate endpoint management tools into the practices and procedures used by department to support Rice's computing systems and the campus networking environment. S/he will be responsible for providing advanced level support for the establishment and continued efficient operation of the endpoint management systems supported by Advanced Client Services. The systems administrator will also collaborate with other IT engineering and extended IT support teams on specific projects and support issues.
