Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant for the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
The primary purpose of the Student Assistant is to conduct research investigation in medical physics under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. Performs research and experiments, including mathematical calculations, algorithm development and theoretical modeling of a specialized nature under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator.
Among the key duties of this position, are the following:
Assists with medical physics research at Rutgers as assigned by faculty.
Assist with the development of new techniques and investigate new methodologies to continuously improve treatment planning and evaluation methods, target localization and verification accuracy, and treatment delivery precision.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School diploma.
Demonstrated experience in the Oncospace environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
PHYSICALDEMANDS; Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25lbs.
