Reporting to the Division Administrator, with a dotted line to the Division Chief, the Practice Administrator, Inpatient will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of inpatient administration for the Allen Hospital Division. This role will lead efforts to standardize, improve, and create efficiencies for physicians in the Inpatient Setting.
Collaborate with the Division Senior Leadership to implement new initiatives.
Collaborate with peer administrators and clinical directors to streamline workflow and standardize protocols.
Serves as direct of contact with NYP Administration, as well as physicians to resolve ongoing site issues.
Identify needs and implement changes to improve patient safety and patient experience.
Communicate with all internal and external stakeholders to insure safe and efficient patient care.
Evaluate MD performance and adherence to standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
Oversee practice flow and patient throughput to maximize efficiency.
Oversee all EMR requirements such as pre-load, timely documentation by physicians, accurate revenue cycle processes are adhered to by front and back end staff.
Supervise Practice Coordinator; approving/tracking time off and performing all necessary HR functions such as hiring, training, supervising disciplinary actions, terminations and performance appraisals.
Manage Provider Scheduling for Labor & Delivery, including tracking moonlighting and coverage payments.
Maintain accurate reporting of daily Allen hospital deliveries and provide reports monthly reports.
Collaborate with Scheduling Administrator to ensure all surgical cases for the Allen Hospital are properly booked.
Ensure completion of hospital related forms including, but no limited to Birth Certificates, BTL, Hysterectomy.
Develop, implement and maintain a Community outreach strategy.
Coordinate with Practice Administrator, Outpatient to arrange for Hospital Tours for OB patients.
Establish referral relationships with neighborhood clinics, ensuring streamlined access for patients transferring into The Allen Hospital Division.
Monitor and manage financial performance metrics through monitoring revenue cycle activities and ensuring compliance to billing compliance standards.
Collaborate with Divisional Administrator to formulate and implement an ongoing physician recruiting strategy and onboarding plan
Bachelor's degree in related field, plus 4 years of experience
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to direct work, drive change and effectively collaborate
OBGYN experience preferred
