Editorial Assistant - Journal of Cinema and Media Studies (JCMS)
The role of the Editorial Assistant is to work with the Editor of the Journal of Cinema and Media Studies (JCMS), Professor Caetlin Benson-Allott, on the scholarly publication of the Society for Cinema and Media Studies, to process submissions to the journal, correspond with peer reviewers for the submissions, maintain the submissions and reviewer databases, and correspond with authors after the piece is either accepted, rejected, or flagged for revision and resubmission.
The Editorial Assistant will also work with the Editor, Associate Editor, and Assistant Editors in preparing manuscripts for submission to the University of Texas Press, where JCMS is published, including book reviews and short articles for the journal's topical
