We are seeking to hire a Systems Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, developing, maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting a research software solution. Your core responsibilities will include:
Design, develop, test and maintain applications or systems programs;
Gather and provide input on functional specifications and requirements;
Support business user questions/issues regarding applications and/or systems issues and availability;
Develop and maintain technical documentation.
Key competencies for this role are:
Ability to diagnose and resolve system related problems as they pertain to communication, configuration, or performance issues;
Ability to understand business processes and translate to technical design;
Ability to develop and implement custom programs/workflow for enhancing the functionality of applications;
Customer service and time management skills;
Ability to work in a team environment with excellent interpersonal skills;
Work on other projects and tasks as deemed necessary by the team and business.
Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science or other relevant field or equivalent combination of training and experience;
1+ years of relevant work experience; education and academic internship experience may be considered in lieu of work experience;
Exposure to SQL, SQL Server, SSIS/SSRS preferred;
An understanding of Agile software development such as Scrum experience with software implementation/support in a Microsoft Windows environment;
Exposure to the Click Commerce Research Administration and Compliance Solutions a plus;
Exposure to an ORM, such as the Entity Framework, is preferred.
