The School is seeking a Patient Experience Specialist to coordinate the administrative aspects of providing dental care to patients in one of the School's comprehensive care clinic modules. The incumbent functions as a liaison among patients, students, faculty, staff, and clinic leadership in a customer-focused, quality-conscious work environment. Responsibilities include assisting patients, supporting student dentists in meeting the requirements and educational objectives of their clinical training, and facilitating the efficient and fiscally sound operation of the clinic.
The incumbent must be thoroughly familiar with and attentive to HIPAA requirements. This position requires an associate's degree, health care career training certificate or equivalent experience, and excellent social and customer service skills. A background in the dental field and knowledge of dental coding and dental insurance is highly desirable.
Career training in dental/medical office skills or additional experience may be substituted for degree. Incumbent must have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and flexibility. Front office experience in a dental or medical office and/or familiarity with dental insurance and treatment codes is highly desirable.
