The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a qualified Senior Research Coordinator for the All of Us PA Research Program.
The Senior Research Coordinator for All of Us is responsible for providing support to the Precision Medicine Initiative, an NIH-funded initiative to enroll 1 million study participants across the US. The University of Pittsburgh is recruiting staff to support enrollment efforts around the greater Pittsburgh region and adjacent counties. The successful incumbent will have 5 years of clinical research experience and an understanding of the All of Us Pa Research Program Protocol.
This position will: function as a clinical site lead and oversee a team of research coordinators, research assistants, and unit clerks; be responsible for assessing staffing needs and assist with identifying enrollment and recruitment opportunities within the clinical settings (outpatient and inpatient) and physician practices; provide clinical support as defined by the study protocol, including physical tests such as BP and BMI and phlebotomy to collect blood specimens.
Duties may also include scheduling patient appointments, obtaining patient consent, questionnaire completion, ensuring adherence to study protocol, staff scheduling, and general oversight of enrollment opportunities. The incumbent will assist participants with technology and train new staff. The incumbent will also be responsible for transmitting data to industry sponsors. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills to promote this important study, organized, and able to learn new techniques quickly.
A bachelor's degree in a clinical or health sciences field. Research experience preferred; strong clinical background and phlebotomy experience required. Experience recruiting and working with large cohort longitudinal projects is desirable. Internal University of Pittsburgh experience preferred. Extensive experience (13 years minimum) may be substituted for degree requirements.
