SENIOR FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR , Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) , to serve as an integral member of EECS headquarters. Will be responsible for complex financial activity associated with EECS general and endowment funding. Responsibilities include working with other labs and centers to manage a complex financial portfolio; performing high-level financial work, including analyzing and strategically planning for general and discretionary funds, personnel allocations, student appointments, and other resource management issues; developing innovative solutions for enhanced performance of department operations; ensuring financial compliance with Institute policies/procedures and applicable agency rules and regulations; managing EECS initiative programs such as SuperUROP; and performing other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED : a minimum of seven years of financial management experience in an academic/research environment, preferably at MIT; strong computer, quantitative, and communication skills; service orientation; commitment to following through details on assignments; and receptivity to learning new business methods and computational skills.
