The Department of Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering receives and evaluates applications from candidates for temporary part-time and full-time teaching/research positions on a continuous basis. Complete applications are placed in a 'pool' and are reviewed as positions become available.Positions available in the department may be in the areas of soil and water engineering, environmental engineering, ecological engineering, environmental management, biosensors, biorefining, biofuels, water quality, farm safety biosecurity, power and machinery, food and process engineering including polymer chemistry, bioprocessing, animal and/or human structures and environmental quality, forest products, bioproducts science and engineering, building science, industrial ecology, corporate environmental management and business management. These positions are contingent upon availability of funding. Duration of appointment and salary vary according to funding and qualifications of candidate. Positions typically vary from three months to one year, but may be renewed. Starting salaries will be commensurate with education and experience.

These temporary positions (Post-Doctoral Associate) are available to persons holding an earned Doctorate degree in Bioproducts/ Biosystems/ Biological Engineering or basic and applied sciences, or related fields and applicable research training and/or experience.
