The Notre Dame Alumni Association is looking for a qualified individual to fill this position for the Summer (May 15- Aug 16). Our Special Events and Travel team is looking for a student who is interested in supporting the preparation and execution for Reunion 2019 and other special events. In this position, you must be able to work independently on assignments and have the ability to work collaboratively with staff and alumni. You will work on multiple projects, including data entry, managing inventories, creating signs and general event preparations. Attention to detail is critical, and creativity in the execution is welcomed. Applicants should also have experience in Google Gmail, docs and sheets, an eye for good design as well as a positive and can-do attitude. This internship will also provide you with professional development opportunities to discover your strengths and expand your skill set. Project work and other responsibilities include: Special Events (80%) - Support of the preparation, execution and wrap up of Reunion 2019 (must be available to work Thu 5/30 - Sat 6/1) - Analyze data about attendance and best practices during Reunion - Plan for Football Fridays for the fall semester Travel (15%) - Various correspondence and registration assistance for the NDAA Travel program (my.nd.edu/travel) Professional Development (5%)
Minimum Qualifications: -Soft skills: Detail-oriented, ability to think critically and be creative, work unsupervised and have an interest in event planning. -Hard skills: Write emails in a professional manner, working knowledge of Google sheets and docs. Formatting and printing with Google docs, Word, Excel etc. -Must possess a positive, outgoing and friendly attitude and strong communication skills while representing the Alumni Association
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in event planning preferred but not expected.
