The Application Analyst II/UKHC will be held accountable for establishing strong credibility & collaboration with our physicians, customers, department leadership, affiliated organizations, and all IT staff members including this Application Analyst II role. This is a highly matrixed organization which requires excellent interpersonal skills, persuasion and influencing skills, ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams through significant amount of varied work assignments. The Application Analyst II/UKHC will be an integral part of a highly productive applications team implementing and supporting ancillary, clinical, financial, revenue cycle and administrative changes, enhancements, product feature/service packs, patches and upgrades. Monitors and performs daily maintenance and audit of critical application files to ensure performance and data integrity between interfacing and interfaced systems. Perform problem analysis and impact in sup port of decisions and planning in application processes. Effectively collaborate and coordinate vendor resources in problem resolution. In collaboration with ITS Integration, this position will monitor and resolve interface issues. Actively participate in the development of test scenarios and execution of unit, functional/system and integration testing. UK HealthCare is a comprehensive healthcare system consisting of the medical, nursing, health sciences, public health, dental and pharmacy patient care activities of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, and in several off-site locations. UK HealthCare is expanding through the construction of a new hospital and potential future acquisitions.
An ideal candidate will be extremely motivated, possess strong analytical skills, be an excellent oral and visual communicator, possess an aptitude for root cause determination and solution generation, desire to learn healthcare business concepts. Possess a basic understanding of networking, hardware and software.
