The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep and Allergy, University of Nebraska Medical Center, has an open position in a laboratory that focuses on how inhalant environmental and occupational inflammatory agents impact the lung and systemic immune response and mechanisms to enhance repair and recovery. The scope of the projects is focused on agriculture-related organic dust exposures using mouse modeling to dissect immunologic features that govern inflammation and recovery to ultimately lead to preventative and/or therapeutic approaches for at-risk individuals. Ongoing investigations include the lung-bone/arthritis inflammatory axis, lung repair/recovery and alternatively activated lung immune cells.
