The primary purpose of this position is to provide accounting and financial administration for the Department of Maternal and Child Health (MCH). The incumbent in this position will provide expertise in accounting processes, procedures and system operations in MCH, including daily accounting activities. The incumbent will work to ensure the department stays in compliance with all campus, state, federal and other agency policies in relation to finance, no matter what the type of funding source. He/she will be required to work independently on budget reports, reconciling budgets and be knowledgeable of the rules and regulations as they pertain to each unique source.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Advanced Excel skills are essential for this role.
It is preferred that the candidate be proficient with all UNC systems, including, but not limited to, ConnectCarolina, InfoPorte and RAMSeS.
