Reporting to the Associate Dean of Admissions and Records, the position manages and maintains admissions activities for the college including admissions interviews and final review processes. Coordinates and attends Admissions Committee meetings; develops and maintains official records for the committee and disseminates critical information as requested/appropriate. Provides technical and procedural training to committee members on the effective and efficient use of technological resources. Establishes and refines work flow, procedures, and suggests operational improvements within the administrative unit. Participates in development of policies, objectives, and long-range planning for admissions by assessing admissions processes, outcomes and activities to provide feedback and and recommendations as appropriate. Serves as a primary point of contact and liaison between College of Medicine Admissions, university colleges and departments, the community and other institutions regarding admissions. Answers and directs inquiries from applicants and others. Provides support to the Associate Dean and Assistant Dean for Admissions and Records. Works under general supervision performing a variety of tasks requiring a high degree of independent judgment, decision-making and discretion, following procedures and direction and often determining own method of performing assigned work within requested time frames.
