George Mason University Student Health Services seeks a part-time Nurse Practitioner for the Fairfax campus with occasional travel to our Arlington and Science and Technology (formerly Prince William) campus locations. This position requires a flexible work schedule, generally 24-32 hours per week, including occasional evenings and Saturday mornings during the Fall and Spring Semesters only.
Required Qualifications: *Licensed in Virginia; *Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program; *Must be licensed as a nurse practitioner in good standing, demonstrated medical office or other outpatient/ambulatory clinic experience; *Experience and knowledge of young adult and adult ambulatory patient care; *Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; *Critical thinking skills, including ability to prioritize and to facilitate cohesiveness and team work; and *Must be able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications: *Current Health Care Provider CPR certification; *Experience and knowledge of unique needs of a college student: including mental health and sports medicine; *Experience with blood draws, immunizations, and intravenous fluid administration; *Knowledge of Adolescent and Adult Immunization requirements; and *Experience with Electronic Health Records.
Salary: Hourly rate is $45.00; commensurate with education and experience.
