Under the direction of the Director of Admissions in the School of Law, the Seasonal Admissions Recruiter/Counselor is responsible for recruiting prospective law students to RWU School of Law. This position will represent the School of Law at law school fairs and forums both regionally and throughout the country. The ideal candidate must be personable, energetic, and positive about their Roger Williams University legal education and experiences.
Essential functions of the position include but are not limited to:
Travel extensively on a regional and national basis to attend recruiting events;
Represent the School of Law at organized collegiate recruiting events and national forums;
Contact and meet with pre-law advisors;
Make presentations to individuals and groups of students;
Produce status reports on recruiting efforts;
Conduct tours of the School of Law and attend Informational Sessions and Open Houses;
Respond to phone inquiries and provide general office support, as needed.
This is a seasonal position with the assignment scheduled to begin on August 26, 2019 and end on November 22, 2019.
A 2019 Juris Doctor degree from RWU School of Law is required. The chosen candidate must possess a valid driver's license. In addition, candidates must possess outstanding oral communication skills, be able to work independently, and meet deadlines. To be successful in this position, the chosen candidate must be a self-starter, a team player, and be pleasant and helpful. Experience in marketing/sales is helpful and domestic/international travel is a plus.
