The Department of Geography at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a full-time Administrative Specialist II. Reporting to the department's business manager, this position provides essential administrative services for the geography program and performs a broad range of administrative duties. One of the main administrative duties focuses on the department's graduate program, which includes maintaining data on student applications, funding, graduate space requirements, and academic status. This position will work closely with the director and associate director of the graduate program to ensure its orderly operation and success. The administrative services also extend to assisting the associate department head and other faculty with course scheduling. Additional key responsibilities extend to working on travel requests and reimbursements, data reports, and procurement card orders. This position serves as a point of contact for the administrative functions of the program and provides information and responds to inquiries regarding procedures and policies.
