The Director, who reports to the Associate Vice President for Research Compliance, is a critical member of the leadership team of the Office for Research Compliance, which provides comprehensive research support and compliance services to the entire University. The Directors primary responsibilities are to provide strategic vision for the Charles River Campus's human research protection program, effectively manage the CRC IRB Office, and ensure outstanding service to Boston University's research community. The Director oversees the strategic direction and daily operations of the CRC IRB Office, and oversees a team responsible for providing direction, training and consultation to IRB Office staff, IRB members and the research community regarding applicable regulations, current issues and ethical concerns regarding social and behavioral research.
Bachelor's required, minimum of 8 years of experience in human subject research administration.
