This position will assist in the conduct of a clinical study on the effect of diet on fatigue in Multiple Sclerosis, working closely with physicians at the OHSU MS Center, as well as with research dietitians at the Oregon and Clinical Translational Research Institute, to provide individualized nutrition counseling to study participants. This position maintains an effective relationship with the Principal Investigator and study staff, supporting an environment of cooperation, teamwork, and motivation.
Duties include the following:
Provide one-on-one, individualized nutrition counseling to study participants (in person or via telephone or skype)
Teach and reinforce behaviors for a low fat eating pattern
Track progress and report to study team
Attend study team meetings, assisting study coordinator as needed
Develop additional materials for participants including recipes, sample menus, and educational materials, such as blog posts in accordance with the study diet
