The Repository Steward supports the Brenden-Colson Center for Pancreatic Care (BCCPC) in the growth and development of the Oregon Pancreas Tissue Registry (OPTR), a collection of information and tissue and/or blood samples from patients seen at OHSU for pancreatic cancer or with a family history of pancreatic cancer, or for related syndromes such as chronic pancreatitis. OPTR specimens and data undergo genetic, genomic, proteomic and bioinformatics analysis to better understand pancreatic biology and disease; they are used in virtually all of BCCPC\u2019s research efforts and as such are a critical ingredient in our success.
Primary responsibilities will include OPTR clinical data and specimen inventory management, fulfillment of project specimen requests and distribution, overseeing day-to-day operations of data and specimen collection, handling IRB submissions, and enhancing and expanding BCCPC\u2019s research database(s) via chart review, data imports, data entry, creation of new catalogs and tracking cohorts of interest.
