This Business Operations Manager, Inpatient Services will be responsible for:
Maintaining administrative, operational and fiscal oversight for the inpatient medical, psychiatry and neuro-science programs.
Assisting in the development of the departments' business initiatives to ensure that they are aligned with short and long-term strategic solutions.
Participating in the formulation of long-term business strategy and development of the department five-year strategic plan. Analyzing business trends and collaborating with the VP/ACNO and Directors of all departments.
Developing relationships as well as presenting analytical business reports to senior management.
Coordinating and preparing the annual budget to include capital, operating, and personnel submissions. Serving as the liaison for all matters pertaining to budget, purchasing, personnel management, and contract management. Serving as departmental contact for Project Managers in preparation of project capital and operating budgets.
Retrieving and applying data and performing analysis, as required, supporting the delivery process. Collaborating with directors on general market research, competitor positioning, operational benchmarks and general economic influences. Responsible for supporting the Vice President in developing and presenting the analytical reports and materials to augment strategic and business planning for the Institution.
Overseeing the uniform application of department business practices and procedures for all administrative support staff.
Reporting directly to the Vice President/Associate Chief Nurse, Medical Patient Services
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare or a closely related field plus up to one year of post-degree course work and/or an internship and six years of previous experience.
Experience with hospital operations as it pertains to Patient Finance and acquires proficiency in both HIS applications.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems or design systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, facilitating group information needs and translating those needs into specifications.
Strong power point and excel abilities.
