•Supervises the development of methods and procedures on new assignments and provides leadership to other members of the UCPath Team in the functional areas of Security Administration, Approval Workflow Engine, Extended Leave, Leave Balances, Benefits, Position Administration, Position Funding, Workforce Administration, Talent Acquisition Management, Direct Retro, and others. •Supervises unit integration and acceptance testing activities and creates highly technical specifications for the UCPath system which has a broad impact. •Oversees cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues related to UCPath and it’s connected systems, processes and procedures. •Communicates technical information in a clear and concise manner to populations of varying degrees of technical fluency. Audiences might include IT professionals, Executives, end users, other campuses and UCOP.•Advanced Knowledge of business analysis function. •Critical Thinking, Persuasion/Negotiation, Mentoring, Leadership/Management, Problem Solving, Human Resources policies and procedures relating to management responsibilities. •Quantitative and Analytical skills. • Must have good interpersonal and communications skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. • Must have knowledge relating to the design of applications programs across the campus. • Knowledge of other related areas of IT. • Knowledge of department processes and procedures. • Advanced skills associated with programming design, modification and implementation. • Must have skills needed to develop conversion and system implementation plans. • Experience assessing, designing, and implementing business processes and procedures by leveraging technology for optimal effectiveness. • Ability to quickly understand business process issues and able to gather the necessary information to document business/technical requirements in an evolving end-user environment. • Experience translating business information requirements into logical data models, diagrams, and use cases. • Experience creating mock-ups and iterations. • Ability to develop test plans and execute end-user testing in a systematic way. • Experience designing reports to support and facilitate operational workflows and the detection of data integrity issues and system errors. • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and common desktop/web applications. • Ability to manage responsibilities independently to conclusion. • Ability to work cooperatively with a team. • Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines. • Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
