The Secretary Senior will serve as the primary point of contact for the department of Education, Development, Teaching and Learning (EDTL). This position will provide clerical assistance to the department as well as to the Department Chairperson. Responsibilities include answering telephones, taking meeting minutes, updating the website, correspondence, gathering data and producing reports as requested. Make travel arrangements and process those expenses. Provide student support by directing students to resources, enrolling students in coursework or programs. Serve on search committees as the committee secretary and create candidate itineraries. Work in conjunction with the other departments on shared events or projects.
Experience and/or training that demonstrates the ability to use Word, Excel, e-mail and/or similar software applications to produce written correspondence, create and maintain spreadsheets, receive and respond to email inquiries, tasks, etc.;
Ability to work precisely and thoroughly, even through periods of prolonged repetitive work and frequent interruptions;
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
Ability to effectively organize multiple work assignments, involve competing priorities to produce work products that are accurate, of a high quality and meet deadlines;
Ability to provide excellent customer service including listening to customers, identify issues, provide options, fulfill services and exercise knowledge of procedures to assist others;
Able to proficiently use standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, and fax machines. Also, knowledgeable of a variety of software packages and their features;
Attention to detail;
Strong time management skills;
OR applicable combination of education and experience which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience with student data systems such as PeopleSoft and/or other system(s);
Experience with Adobe, Drupal (or other website software) and Docusign;
