The College of Business Recruiting and Events Coordinator works with the students, faculty, and staff of the College of Business to develop and implement on and off-campus college student recruitment efforts, supports the College of Business student clubs, and supports College events. The incumbent reports to the Dean of the College of Business and will work collaboratively with college departments and programs, other university units (e.g., admissions, public affairs), and off-campus partners (e.g., high schools, community colleges).
The CB Recruiting and Events Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for future and current College of Business students. The coordinator will develop and manage communication strategies targeted at potential and current students, including the use of social media. The coordinator will be responsible for recruiting students to the college of business, with regular travel to feeder high schools and community colleges expected. The position will also recruit on-campus to inform current CWU students about College of Business programs. The coordinator also supervises a team of student employees that provide direct support to the communication and programmatic areas overseen by the coordinator.
The coordinator also supports the College of Business student clubs, including providing guidance, advising, and special event support. The coordinator oversees the College of Business Living Learning Community. The position also serves as a primary point of contact for college diversity initiatives.
Bachelor’s Degree or any combination of education and experience which clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience in admissions, college recruiting, or sales.
Experience working with students.
Ability to accurately deliver work and with high level of detail for outward facing information.
Knowledge of marketing, public relations and special event planning, methods and techniques.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Business, Communication, Public Relations or related field.
Professional work experience in a higher education setting.
Experience in university or college recruiting.
Experience leading diversity initiatives.
Experience preparing and managing budgets and resources.
