Midway University invites applications for the position of Director of International Admissions. This position is responsible for coordination and executing international student recruitment efforts for Midway University. This position will focus on assisting students through the entire application lifecycle, from the point of lead generation to enrollment. Reporting to the Vice President of Admissions and Athletics and working closely with faculty and staff from all areas of the University, the Director will have a significant impact on how we recruit and enroll international students.
Provide excellent and timely customer service to prospective international students at all stages in the admissions process; i.e. inquiry to enrollment.
Grow, manage and maintain a student database of potential students; complete with communication strategy to work with students from inquiry through enrollment.
Manage admissions processes for international students via modern technologies such as Skype, WhatsApp, Wechat, and other methods.
Responsible for targeted recruitment goals in the international territory
Provide cultural, immigration, academic, and transfer information to prospective international students, parents, advisors, counselors and agents; serve as DSO, this will include F1 student visa advising and keeping SEVIS records current.
Take lead role in active international recruiting efforts, both in the US and through international travel activities.
Track and reconcile fiscal expenditures associated with recruitment activities and travel. Prepare reports tracking return on investment for various direct and indirect recruitment strategies/events.
Aid in the development of marketing materials for international audience.
Maintain applicable Midway University International Admissions social media accounts.
Lend support to study abroad.
Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Admissions & Athletics.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Three years of experience in higher education and knowledge of issues and trends in international student recruiting market.
Sound working knowledge of international recruiting strategies and immigration policies and procedures.
Exceptional interpersonal, written communication, and public speaking skills.
Strong commitment to serving students and working collaboratively with faculty and campus administrative units.
Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.
Experience living or studying abroad.
Experience with F and J immigration regulations.
Bilingual language skills are highly desirable.
Existing relationships with governments, agents and consultants abroad.
Experience budgeting and forecasting.
