Posting Summary: The Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Tennessee State University seeks applicants for a 12 month Full-time Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in Agribusiness Management.
The incumbent will develop a strong, independent, externally-funded and nationally recognized research program in agribusiness management/agricultural economics emphasizing on risk management, price analysis and quantitative decision tools.
The successful candidate is expected to: develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in agribusiness management, both in classroom and online as needed; advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students; acquire extramural funding; publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals; support and contribute to program development, student activities, recruitment and placement; work in teams in a multidisciplinary setting; collaborate with extension educators; participate in outreach programs, and develop partnerships with campus entities, private industry, public agencies, and other stakeholders; participate in service activities to support the department, college, university, community, and their profession; and engage in Agribusiness research at the state, regional and national levels.
