Essential Functions: Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit Michigan, seeks an experienced OB/GYN Nocturnalist for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Wayne State University Physician Group, its physician practice group. All OB/GYN specialties are represented in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology which includes 40 resident ACGME accredited training program and a clinically strong OB/GYN generalist and midwifery service.Responsibilities: * Primarily provide OB service in Labor and Delivery suite, GYN ED, inpatient's consultations during the night.* Provide circumcision & postpartum round, back-up for MFM consultation and general OB/GYN second call.* Responsible for 4 nights each week of call.* Participate in teaching and clinical research duties as well.
Qualifications: Ideal Candidate should be:*Board Certified (MD or DO) or eligible by ABOG in Obstetrics and Gynecology* Clinically excellent and have prior experience in a busy obstetrical practice* An exceptional communicator* Devoted to providing quality, patient centered care* Strongly interested in resident and medical student education
