The College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center at the University of Kentucky is accepting applications for an academic exploratory advisor. This person is responsible for advising students in the College of Arts and Sciences (between 200-250 students); contribution to and participation in approximately 30 year-round advising conferences for new Freshman, transfer and readmitted students; participation in student recruitment activities; development of programs and materials; make responsible decisions regarding student reinstatement to the university, course application toward degrees, transfer course equivalencies, student credit enrollment overloads, and academic probation counseling; promote internship and study abroad opportunities; teach two sections of A&S Academic Exploration classes each semester and coordination of part-time instructors. This position will be involved in daily communication with students, parents, staff, faculty, off-campus constituents, and visitors.

Master's plus 3 years of experience with advising undergraduate students. Teaching and course creation/assessment experience.
