Performs and records all sonographic procedures as specified by the departmental protocols. Operates various types of ultrasound equipment, transducers and recording devices. Recognizing normal and pathological conditions. Contributes to and participates in work organization and scheduling; selection, training and evaluation of staff as a member of a self-directed work team. Trouble shoots and resolves ultrasound related PACS issues. Participates in performance improvement projects within the ultrasound department. Job standards are to be performed at the PRACTITIONER level. Other related duties as assigned.
Graduate of a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)in OB/GYN with active status.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
Recent experience in a similar role and setting.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic computer skills: EMR, ultrasound reporting, and PACS.
RDMS in Fetal Echo.
Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR) and Nasal Bone (NB)Certification.
Two to Three (2-3) years outpatient and inpatient OB experience.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
