Acancer research lab seeks a self-motivated, research assistant with significantbiological research experience for translational research work in human leukemiaand immunology. The research assistantmust be detail-oriented, self-motivated, work well with others, and comfortablein a fast-paced environment. Theresearch assistant must also have excellent time management and interpersonalcommunication skills and be comfortable directing projects in the lab at thediscretion of the PI as well as assist other lab members on other projects. Thesuccessful candidate will be expected to carry out research experiments withminimal supervision from the laboratoryâs principal investigator and workseamlessly with collaborators and other members of the lab. The job will also require interaction withcolleagues and collaborators in a professional and thoughtful manner.
(1)Minimumof bachelorâs degree
(2)atleast 2 years of prior experience working in a biology laboratory
(3)priorexperience conducting a cell biology research project that includedinterpreting results and presenting findings (e.g. presenting a projectsummary, creating a poster, writing a thesis)

Theideal candidate will also have the following:
Â·experience with preparation of viable cellsuspensions from tissue
Â·tissue culture with suspension cells
Â·work with live peripheral blood mononuclearcells (PBMC)
Â·demonstrate knowledge of cell and molecularbiology in context of cancer
Â·excellent organization and communication skills
Â·experience in molecular biology (CRISPR, qtPCR,lentiviral transduction, etc).
Â·experience in sample preparation for nextgeneration sequencing and basic genomic analysis
Â·hands-on experience with one or both of thefollowing cytometry techniques:
Â·experience with flow cytometry data analysis
Â·experience preparing scientific figures
Â·experience with inducible mouse models
Â·data science or computational biologytechniques (R statistics or Python)
Job responsibilitiesare expected to include:
