The Business Analyst will support the development and operational functions of the Associate Vice President, Schools and Institutes (AVP, S&I). Responsibilities will require collaboration and coordination across all areas of University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR), and the greater University. The Business Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of budget management and assist in the forecasting, tracking and communication of fundraising revenue and goals. The Business Analyst will liaise, coordinate and drive projects on behalf of the AVP, S&I in areas such as Prospect Development and Research, Stewardship, and the Office of Gift Acceptance to achieve S&I's goals and objectives. In support of the AVP and Executive Director's (S&I) fundraising portfolios, the Business Analyst will possess strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft key internal and external emails, documents, presentations, proposals and gift agreements that support major and principal gift work.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience: 2+ years Relevant development and/or analyst experience, or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and develop collegial relationships with colleagues both in UDAR and across the University.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience working in development in higher education and knowledge of Advance CRM
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and planning abilities, ability to prioritize assignments and requests from multiple sources, attention to detail, outstanding interpersonal skills, and strong customer service orientation. Excellent judgment and decision-making to produce and analyze data; must be able to work successfully under deadline pressure. Advanced computer skills required, including the ability to produce presentations, as well as knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to take initiative and make sound decisions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
