Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide physical therapy for athletes
Provide prevention and treatment for injuries and illnesses sustained by student-athletes
Educate, counsel, and communicate with coaching staffs, athletes, co-workers, students, team physicians and parents.
Administer emergency care and make medical referrals.
Organize and maintain daily medical records, including daily treatment logs using a computerized sports injury management program.
Administrative duties as assigned.
Serve as a preceptor for athletic training curriculum students.
Willing to travel and work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
Ensure that University, NCAA, federal and state policies, procedures, and/or regulations are followed.
Responsible for adhering to the Sports Medicine Policies and Procedures and the NATA Code of Professional Conduct.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Certification by the Athletic Training Board of Certification and a Physical Therapy License with eligibility for State of Michigan Licenses.
Division I collegiate experience as an athletic trainer.

TB risk or work within 3 feet of human patients in a health care setting or have potential exposure to animal or specimens with Mycobacterium bovis.
