The Research Coordinator IIconducts data collection visits and implements behavioral interventions focusedon reducing post-cessation weight gain and gestational weight gain as outlinedby the Fit & Quit and Bloom research study protocols.
Delivers behavioral intervention to study participants as specified in the study protocol, which includes but are not limited to face-to-face meetings, telephone conversations, and mailings.
Determines subjects' suitability to serve as participants in assigned research project(s) prior to randomization by reviewing psychosocial history, evaluating subjects' responses during face-to-face assessments, and using sound clinical judgment.
Facilitates the informed consent process in accordance with study protocol and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines while utilizing understanding of all inclusion/exclusion criteria.
Serves as primary contact person after the study participants are randomized to study intervention groups; responds to any questions/concerns either directly or through referral to appropriate study staff.
Documents adverse events, medication adjustments and/or protocol deviations reported by study participants using protocol specific forms and procedures.
Enters subject measurements, demographics, medical history, and intervention information into relational database.
Assists in coordinating participant retention activities for assigned research projects.
Attends protocol specific research meetings to troubleshoot potential problems regarding assigned protocol(s).
Performs other duties as required.
