The Assistant Director manages the recruitment, selection, training, supervision and retention of 250 student Ambassadors and 4 Ambassador Coordinators who reflect the diversity of the University. The Ambassadors are the tour guides that introduce our 80,000 visitors a year to the Boston University campus. The Assistant Director represents the University at programs at the Admissions Reception Center on campus and is also is part of a team that manages the day-to-day campus visit experience for prospective students, families, and special groups.
B.A./B.S. with one to three years of directly related experience. Strong public speaking skills and a commitment to inclusivity are essential. Excellent written and oral communication are also required. Evening and weekend hours are necessary for most of the calendar year.
