This Officer II, Leadership Gifts will be responsible for:
Works independently and as part of the team to secure lead annual and mid-level gifts and build the pipeline of future major gift donors to Boston Children's Hospital.
Through phone calls, personal visits, and other meaningful interactions, identifies and qualifies new prospects; cultivates, solicits and closes gifts between $5,000 - $250,000; and stewards lead annual and mid-level donors.
Personally manages a portfolio of leadership and mid-level giving donors/prospects needing sustained cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
In addition, manages leadership giving programmatic activities as assigned.
To qualify, you must have:
Five years of progressive experience in business administration, marketing, nonprofit management, fundraising or equivalent experience.
Positioning, writing, and analytical skills to present complex scientific, clinical, research and medical issues that require philanthropic support for the many and various departments/divisions in Boston Children's Hospital.
Strong strategy development and execution abilities to collaborate with peers, and persuade and negotiate with external organizations and individual prospects around cases for support, gift agreements and relationships with the Trust and the Hospital.
Strong presentation and communications skills.
Consistent attention to detail, high level of productivity, solution-oriented performer who can be responsive to both staff and donor issues.
Strong technical skills in generic software programs (Excel, Microsoft) and information systems and the ability to develop proficiency in specific database management systems.
