This Nurse/Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for:
Coordinating the day to day clinical operations of a busy endocrine clinical practice.The Registered Nurse will function in the role of Endocrine Nurse and as Clinical Coordinator for the overall program.
Registered Nurse Responsibilities include:
Working with patients and families for acute and chronic problem solving with general endocrine issues.
Providing follow-up to evaluate progress after making treatment changes.
Providing information and liaison between families and their physicians (primary care and endocrine) in order for families to be comfortable with the care of their children.
Triaging patient and family needs with primary care physicians and/or families who are questioning the need for an endocrine appointment.
Clinical Coordinator Responsibilities include:
Supervising all nursing and clinical assistant staff; completing performance reviews in timely manner.
Providing oversight, training, guidance, and direction to clinicians related to clinical skills.
Coordinating schedules to ensure full coverage to meet patient needs
Working closely with Department of Pediatrics Practice Administrator and Ambulatory Medicine Nursing Director to develop strategic direction for program and to ensure meeting of departmental goals.
To qualify, you must have:
BSN and current RN license.
3-5 years' pediatric RN experience.
Excellent leadership, team building and collaboration skills.
Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories, and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experienced-based knowledge.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions.
