The research assistant is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Anderson lab. Major responsibilities include screening potential participants for eligibility, scheduling participants for experiments, data collection, maintaining data and other lab records, managing research assistants (RAs) and coordinating RA schedules, interfacing with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and assisting with the reporting of research outcomes to funding agencies and other organizations. The laboratory manager will also assist with the programming of experiments, the development of study protocols, the conduct of literature reviews, data analysis, the reporting of results in research manuscripts, and other research-related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, or related field (completed by June 2019) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Relevant coursework in cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, biological psychology, statistics
Prior experience as a research assistant in a laboratory studying human cognition, conducting research that is related to the work conducted in the Anderson lab.
Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills, Strong written and oral communication skills

Some knowledge of programming
Familiarity with Matlab, Eyelink 1000, SPSS, and Microsoft Excel
Post study fliers and announcements, screen participants, schedule participants, data collection
Manage RAs and coordinate RA schedules, interface with the IRB, maintain data and other lab records, assist with the reporting of research outcomes to funding agencies and other organizations
Assist with the programming of experiments, the development of study protocols
Assist with the conduct of literature reviews, data analysis, reporting of results in research manuscripts
