Designing for Web (GRA208) - Lynn Campus

Pre: GRA101 This course is an introduction to web and mobile design focusing on the usability, user experience and design elements that can simplify communication, planning and delivery of online content. It will investigate user interface and experience (UI and UX); research techniques; define project outcomes and deliverables; storyboarding; type, graphics, images and online visual communication vocabulary/tools/techniques. The course will blend theory and practice with students designing and presenting web and mobile app proposals and designs through hands-on projects, papers and investigation of best practices.

Salary will be $3,312 per course for first time faculty. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.

A Master's degree or higher in a web design-related field required; focus on UX/UI, mobile and business use preferred.
Minimum 3 years full-time employment, or equivalent part-time experience required.
Must have demonstrated proficiency in web design, UX/UI, mobile web and app design/interfaces and uses.
Knowledge of proper planning and process workflow for the development of content including project proposals/management; sitemaps/wireframes; design theory, implementation and presentation.
Experience using LMS technology as part of the learning environment preferred.
A commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body.
