St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time position in its Office of Admission in the College for Women. The qualified candidate will represent St. Catherine University to prospective College for Women students and their families and assist the Admissions team in reaching its recruitment goals.

Responsibilities: Prepare financial aid awards and revisions for new students. Respond to inquiries and questions about the financial aid and admission process, financial aid awards and revisions. Counsel, advise and recruit students. Manage a specific geographic territory (requires some travel). Represent the University to various constituents (both individuals and groups). Develop, coordinate and implement admission and financial aid presentations/programming. Assist in the preparation of financial aid publications and letters for prospective students. Carry out financial aid policy in consultation with the Associate Director of Admission & Financial Aid and the Director of Financial Aid. Review application files and conduct required interviews. Working effectively with diverse student groups in a manner that affirms the worth and preserves the dignity of individuals, families and communities is a significant expectation and critical responsibility. Other duties based on experience and interests.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus three to four years of professional experience with at least one year in financial aid. Knowledge and experience applying federal, state and college financial aid policies for both first year and transfer, dependent and independent students. Conflict resolution and problem-solving skill set needed to understand complex situations and identify potential solutions to issues. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to plan and conduct small and large group presentations/programs. Knowledge of admission recruitment and financial aid cycles. Self-motivated and independent worker. Be flexible, positive, motivated and team-oriented. Ability to work with all types of people in a sensitive yet effective manner. Willingness to work and travel evenings and weekends. Valid driver’s license. Ability to respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, in a manner that affirms the worth and preserves the dignity of individuals, families and communities.
