Position Summary: Under close supervision, perform semi-skilled agricultural tasks in and around research plots in fields, orchards, nurseries, greenhouses, and support the South Coast Rec's agricultural needs.
Farm Laborer is for a Career position, with an opportunity for advancement through on the job training.
This position will promote, in all ways consistent with the other responsibilities of the position, accomplishment of the Affirmative Action goals established by the Division.
Special Conditions of Employment: Overtime Shift Work
Other Special Conditions of Employment: Must possess valid California Driver's License to drive a County or University vehicle. Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability damage insurance on vehicle used is required. Reimbursement of job-related travel will be reimbursed according to University policies.
Employment is contingent upon successfully clearing the FBI/DOJ background check both from the Department of Justice and the FBI, prior to the first day of UC Employment.
