Principal Legislative Analyst (Req. No. 20190153)
The University of California is seeking an experienced governmental relations officer to join its research advocacy team. This position has primary responsibility for legislative analysis and advocacy for federal policy impacting university research. The position serves as an advocate for UC with Congress, the Administration and federal agencies. A qualified candidate should possess knowledge of the functions, organization, structure and procedures of Congress, the Administration and federal agencies. Qualified candidates should have a bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree in political science, public administration or research policy fields and 4-6 years of experience in governmental relations and researching complex subject matter.
