Job Description The Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology is seeking applicants for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor in Counselor Education beginning as early as fall 2019. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The department offers masters' level programs in clinical mental health counseling; marriage, couple, and family counseling; school counseling; addictions counseling; and a doctoral program in Counselor Education. All programs are CACREP-accredited.
Doctorate in counselor education,
Experience teaching in a graduate counselor training program,
Established and well-defined research agenda,
Experience chairing or serving on doctoral dissertation committees,
Record or service or leadership to the profession,
Licensure/certification as a Texas professional counselor/school counselor or licensure/certification-eligible at time of employment.
Doctorate from a CACREP-accredited program,
Paid work experience as a professional counselor in a work setting representing the department programs,
Experience with distance learning and instructional technology,
Experience attracting extramural funding,
Membership and involvement in professional counseling organizations, and
Experience working with diverse student populations,
Minimum three years of graduate teaching experience
