Northwestern University is seeking a Temporary Financial Assistant for the Evanston campus. Multiple positions available.
Temporary Job Description:
The Temporary Financial Assistant position Process subcontract payments according to the rules and regulations of granting agencies; reconciling subcontract payments from internal spreadsheets to University financial system.
Work as liaison between NU research community and Vendors to advance payment processing. Respond to monthly deadlines for obtaining invoices to be included in financial reports submitted to sponsor.
Experience performing duties related to accounting and customer service. Preferred experience involving grants management.
Experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Outlook.
A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Strong writing skills.
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Diligent and can work independently.
Experience working with confidential information.
Flexibility, adaptability in a fast paced environment.
MS Office suite 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
