Support the institution's activities related to installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades to Enterprise and application databases as required.
Reviews system proposals, identifying problems, identify alternatives, and recommends solutions based on performance, cost, scheduling, time and benefits.
Proactively monitors, downloads and installs database systems and required application upgrades, updates, and fixes first to the development environment, then to the test environment, and finally to the production environment after successful testing is completed.
Provides technical advice and assistance to users of the databases.
Supports the institution's activities related to installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades to Enterprise and application databases as required.
Implements database backup & restore procedures.
Tracks, installs and upgrades database software. Performs daily testing, monitoring and database tuning.
Maintains database dictionaries and related documentation.
Coordinates systems integration, troubleshooting problems and performance issues.
Develop and maintain stored procedures, user defined functions, and triggers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Minimum one year of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ as an administrator required.
Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
Excellent writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
