This position acts as a contact for patients, visitors, vendors, and the community at large accessing services of the new UK Dental Clinic in Marshall County via telephone contact, face-to-face encounters, and daily appointments. Welcomes all patients/family members/others to clinic in a friendly manner. Obtains and enters information for patient registration, medical records, and billing. Maximizes patients' financial coverage through proper registration and verification of benefits. Collects co-pays and amounts due at time of service. Answers basic insurance coverage questions. Processes and maintains registration information in the electronic health record. Screens and directs incoming calls.
Candidates with the ability to speak and read both English and Spanish highly preferred.

Must have excellent computer skills and previous reception or front-desk experience in a dental or medical office working with adults, children, and special needs patients. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a busy environment. Excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. Computer experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Required License/Registration/Certification :
Prefer candidate with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, billing procedures, and knowledge of electronic clinical patient management software system. Proven experience working with internal and external customers in a positive and professional manner. Ability to speak and understand both English and Spanish preferred.
