Ohio University is seeking part-time adjuncts of Early Childhood Education to teach onsite at our locations in Lancaster and/or Pickerington.
EDEC 3500: This course focuses on developing curriculum and instructional practices that support social studies learning. Course emphasis is placed on identifying and practicing approaches and instructional strategies that prepare young children to be aware, engaged, and involved citizens within a democratic society. Through use of literature, discussion, inquiry and democratic processes, this course presents the prospective early childhood teacher with approaches to content and relevant instructional approaches for supporting and extending social studies learning in early childhood classrooms.
-Master’s degree in Education or closely related area required by time of application. -Ohio Teaching License. -Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience in grades K-3. -Demonstrated expertise in teaching Social Studies at the K-3 level. -Additional requirements as set forth by academic department for clearance to teach. -Ability to pass a background check.
-Past college teaching experience.
