The Executive Assistant provides administrative support associated with the Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs activities, and directs all matters relating to the management and administration of the AVC's daily responsibilities. This position acts autonomously on behalf of the AVC, interacting daily with university administrators and officers at the highest level at UC Irvine, other UC campuses, UC Office of the President, and other national and international colleges and universities, to manage and accomplish the AVC's objectives. This position acts as the key liaison with senior leadership across the UC system, donors, faculty, staff and students. The scope of responsibility for managing the AVC's business affairs reaches beyond campus borders into UC, city, state, national and international arenas. Duties are performed with a sophisticated level of independence and advanced levels of decision-making responsibility.
