Job Summary/Essential JobFunctions:Under thedirection of the Executive Vice Chancellor/Chief Operating Officer (EVC/COO) ofUTHSC.This position will work inconjunction with the University of Tennessee Office of Capital Projects whichincludes the Division of Facilities Planning and the Office of Real Property,assisting real property transactions and in design and construction of capitalprojects to meet the administrative, research, academic and educational programrequirements of UTHSC.
1.Serves as Designer ofRecord for maintenance projects to include reviewing and coordinating needs ofuser groups; overseeing preparation and coordination of construction documents;coordinating of all disciplines as required for projects; adhering to all applicable codes for each project.
2.Performs the origination and analysis of all UTHSC real propertytransactions to include acquisitions, leases, real property asset management,easements, and right of ways.
3.Coordinates the development of program statements with campus officials forfacilities.
4.Collaborates and assists with the design and construction of on-sitecapital projects.
5.Oversees the coordination of real property transactions.
6.Works in conjunction with the Office of Architecture & Planning on themaintenance of Capital Projects.
7.Supports the University of Tennessee Office of Capital Projects (OCP) onall UTHSC real property ventures.
8.Works in conjunction withthe Office of Capital Projects to coordinate and oversee all master planningand master planning updates for UTHSC.
9.Participates in theevaluation for selections of Architects/Engineers for capital projects.
10.Reviews all finalinspections, delivery of project records, operations and maintenance manuals,and operations training for Facilities Services.
11.Responsible for the coordinationand planning of all UTHSC capital project initiatives.
12.Works closely with theOffice of Capital Projects in issuing Request for Qualifications, evaluation ofproposers, and selection of consultant.
13.Oversee and approves allconstruction pertaining to the design intent of the construction documents.
14.Performs other dutiesas assigned.
