THIS IS A PART-TIME GRANTFUNDED POSITION (20hrs/wk.)
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS:
The Research Assistant supportsactivities of the Fit & Quit Study (post cessation weight gain) byconducting over-the-phone assessments with smokers/prospective participants,collecting and entering data, consenting participants, taking physicalmeasurements, conducting participant visits, and other study related tasks.
Explains study objectives and study specific information regarding participation.
Performs data collection via Phone by obtaining informed consent.
Interviews participants and administers questionnaire per protocol.
Obtains additional information as needed including demographics, physical measurements, feedback and satisfaction.
Schedules participants for visit.
Performs database management by entering data in real-time while interviewing participants, updating database after each participant contact, and assisting with the integration from paper form to database.
Document and follow-up with adverse events
Enters data into a relational database and verifies information for completeness and accuracy.
Performs administrative duties such as mails study medication and other notices to participants, maintains schedule calendar, and attends weekly staff meetings.
Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
