The Assessment Systems Analyst collaborates with Undergraduate Medical Education leadership, course and clerkship directors, faculty and staff with computer-based testing, collaborating on building exams, mapping questions to outcomes (competencies) and developing reporting structures in multi-directional feedback models for both students and faculty.This position will also work on the development of direct observation assessments, particularly in clinical experiences.
Responsibilities Assessment Operations (50%)
Serve as contact point for assessment data and report requests from various stakeholders
Serve as a consultant and trainer to course directors (i.e., faculty) and course coordinators
Collaborate with leadership in the development and delivery of training for faculty on best practice use of the assessment systems
Maintain and create processes/workflows along with any associated documentation
Triage and troubleshoot an array of technical issues at a tier 1 level
Conduct usability testing to ensure user experience satisfaction, be aware of malfunctions or lack thereof and generate innovative solutions
Software Implementation (25%)
Create and manage online examination testing software question bank management
Manage implementation efforts for vendor application software features and technology related projects
Maintain software settings that affect online testing functionality.
Mentor less experienced staff, providing procedural and technical guidance
Technical Support (25%)
Collaborate with other IT teams as well as with business users to solve and resolve issues
Stay current with software development tools, trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications ? BA/BS degree and two years of work experience with assessments/assessment tools or a combination of related education and work experience to equal six years. ? Experience administering and analyzing assessments.
? Advanced training in higher education administration, educational evaluation and measurement and/or institutional research and assessment. ? Four years work experience, preferably in medical education. ? Subject matter expert in online examination testing software (e.g. ExamSoft, Myprogress,etc.). ? Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with proficient and non-proficient individuals. ? Ability to sufficiently understand and analyze data needs, analyze data to recognize anomalies, and suggest corrective actions when issues with data occur. ? Ability to develop, train, and mentor peers. ? Ability to utilize automated statistical programs. ? High degree of proficiency in the utilization of database, spreadsheet, word processing applications, awareness of data analysis tools along with basic statistical analysis skills. ? Ability to learn new skills/processes, and adapt to implemented organizational schemas.
